Miguel Calello is Head of Finance of Chalhoub Group’s Strategy, Growth, Innovation & Investment division. He represents the group in the board of directors of the companies in the portfolio (e.g., Ralph Lauren, Saint Honore Latam, Ella Afrique, Fintech start-ups, recent acquired brands). Furthermore, he is a member of the shadow board of Chalhoub Group since 2020.

Miguel Calello has a career that spans over 17 years, exposed to Strategic Financial Planning, Business Development, Operations, Mergers, Turnarounds, Divestments & Acquisitions. He previously headed the Operations, E-Commerce & Commercial Finance functions of the group department stores: Level Shoes, Tryano & Saks Fifth Avenue, and the Off-Price business. Prior to joing the Group, he held roles at Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi Global Airline), Strategic Planning Department of Tenaris, The Financial Planning practice of Mondelez (American food and beverage multinational) and had Audit & Advisory experiences in Ernst & Young and Deloitte.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Masters in Corporate Finance. He has pursued an MBA at London Business School and an international exchange at Columbia Business School.During his free time, he enjoys playing with his wife and kids: Micaela & Marco. He also enjoys playing competitive football in Dubai’s Amateur League or traveling around the world (due to his work he had travelled to more than #65 countries).
