Abhishek Saurav, an Indian national, is a Senior Economist in the Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice of the World Bank Group. He advises governments on evidence-based design and implementation of policy reforms and development programs that catalyze investments and drive economic growth. He has a track record of leadership and innovation in development policy research, which includes the design of the Green Investment Climate Diagnostic (GICD) and the Global MNE Pulse Surveys of the World Bank Group. He has published and presented at international conferences on topics related to economic development, investments, environmental sustainability, and the impact of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis. His experience spans developing regions in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. He holds a doctorate in public policy and public administration from The George Washington University, Washington, DC.
